On our recent trip to Dubrovnik we stayed in a lovely AirBNB villa. However, we were lucky enough to be day guests on afternoon at the Hotel Dubrovnik Palace so I wanted to share our experience there in that regards .
A Quick Tour Of The Hotel
Hotel Dubrovnik Palace is a short drive from Old Town Dubrovnik. It can take maybe 10-15 minutes depending on the traffic. Keep this in mind when you are planning your stay and activities in Dubrovnik.
The hotel itself seems nothing to look at from the front, but the real awe begins as you walk through the lobby doors. Hotel Dubrovnik Palace is a luxury hotel with breathtaking views of the Adriatic Sea from nearly every inch of the property
The day of our visit we had lunch at the Elafiti Restaurant, which is on the main floor of the hotel. Since it was between their regular meal hours it was very empty and we had the wonderful view to ourselves.
The service was spectacular every inch of the way. The restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner where they serve a Mediterranean buffet. They have a simple A La Carte menu that we were able to choose from in the middle of the day.
The Pool and View
After our delicious lunch we took a stroll out back to the pool area. The pool of the Hotel Dubrovnik Palace is balanced right on the edge of the Adriatic Sea.
The hotel also hosts the Blue Planet diving center. This is a 5 star PADI certified diving center and their diving platform is located right off the rocky beach of the hotel itself.
Since we were visiting just for the day the Lanterna Glorijet Bar seemed the best use of our time. We were brave and ordered the XXXL mojito which came with the world’s longest straws.
While we weren’t sure that our drink actually included any alcohol, it was still delicious. We also had great time using it as a photo prop.
The staff at the bar was just as amazing as everyone else that we encountered at the hotel that day. Top Notch.
I think that Hotel Dubrovnik Palace would be great for a short weekend getaway to Dubrovnik. If you are in the area for a longer period and have made other accommodations I would certainly recommend that you take a chance to explore the property and all this hotel has to offer. Have you stayed here or would you consider staying here on your next trip to Dubrovnik?
